Collaboration
with 'MUCH'
As the only non-religious hall available for hire by the residents of Undy and Magor, it was soon realized that the Community Hub, as proposed by the MUCH group, would be able to offer similar but larger facilities.
The MUCH group had it made it clear from the start that, although there would eventually be an overlap in offerings, it would try to collaborate so that both The Hub and Memorial Hall would operate sympathetically.
In 2019, the Trustees of the Memorial Hall, who were retiring after many years of service, invited the Trustees of MUCH to take on the role, providing they sustain the culture and identity of the Hall.
Initially, the same group of trustees ran both charities. This changed in 2024/25 although there are still some trustees in common, which insures that the two village community facilities have a high level of co-operation and collaboration.
